"Dargov", "Drahovo", "Drahiv", "Kovesliget" (in
Hungarian). Geographically Drahova is located in the Carpathian Mountains, about 10km
from the city of Chust (Huszt), coordinates 48°14' - 23°33'
in a bordering area between Slovakia, Rumania, Hungary and Ukraine. Today it is part of
Ukraine. Lore has it that the first
Salamon's to appear in the area did that sometime in the XIII or XIV Century having
migrated from Spain, probably acted as tax collectors in the Ottoman Empire. There are
stories that further generations loved Sephardic music very much.
