También se llamado "Dargov" (ruso), "Drahovo", "Drahiv" (Yidish), "Kovesliget" (húngaro). Geográficamente Drahova se encuentra en las montañas de los Cárpatos, a unos 20 km de la ciudad de Chust (Huszt), las coordenadas 48°14'- 23°33' en una zona limítrofe entre Eslovaquia, Rumania, Hungría y Ucrania.
Hoy en día es parte de Ukrania. Cuenta la leyenda que los primeros SALAMON en aparecer en la zona, en algún momento del siglo XIII o XIV emigraron de España, probablemente actuaron como recaudadores de impuestos para el Imperio Otomano. Hay historias de que tenían un especial afecto por la música sefardí.
Mi bisabuelo Abraham Rafael SALAMON, y mi tío abuelo Yaakov SALAMON estan enterrados en el cementerio de Drahova.

Today it is part of Ukraine. Lore has it that the first SALAMON's to appear in the area did that sometime in the XIII or XIV Century having migrated from Spain, probably acted as tax collectors in the Ottoman Empire. There are stories that further generations loved Sephardic music very much.
My great-grandfather Abraham Rafael SALAMON as well as my great uncle Yaakov SALAMON are buried in the Drahova Cemetery.
